MAC36NL - Station - Not possible to log in

Issue

It is not possible to log in to the station, which has the Running status.

Possible cause and solution

The server was not able to correctly open the FOXS port

The following log appears in the Application Director:

CODE
SEVERE [11:32:17 28-Feb-23 EST][fox] FOXS server failed to start on port. [4911]
java.io.IOException: unable to create socket for foxs

The problem occurs on stations installed on the MAC36NL-M controller with Niagara 4.11.1.16 and when using the mbus driver and adding MbusTcpIpNetwork configuration at the same time.

Solution

  • Install a different version of Niagara:

    • 4.10.1.36,

    • 4.10.3.20,

    • 4.12.2.16.

  • Switch on the unencrypted FOX communication:

    • download the station using the Station Copier,

    • in offline mode, edit the config.bog file by turning on the unencrypted FOX connected in the Fox Service;

    • save changes, first, using a single floppy disk icon (saves changes in the edited component), then, using a double floppy disk icon (saves change in the whole .bog file),

    • reinstall the station on the controller using the Station Copier,

    • open the unencrypted FOX connection (1911) with the controller.
