MAC36 - HDMI - Error displayed on the HDMI panel
Issue
The HDMI panel is connected to the MAC36 controller, however, no view is displayed or is displayed partly.
Possible causes and solutions
No display of system web views (such as Scheduler or Alarm Console)
Everything properly configured, yet still the panel displays only the iC logo
No display of system web views (such as Scheduler or Alarm Console)
Attempting to display the web views, for example, Schedule or Alarm Console, on the HDMI panel results in displaying of the replaceChildren is not a function
error.

The error is displayed in the outdated Internet browser, which in case of the HDMI panels is the browser built-in in the MAC36 distribution. The issue is known for controller’s distribution files with Niagara 4.12.2.16.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to manually install a newer version of the built-in MAC36 web browser.
Solutions
Install older distribution of Niagara - list of supported distributions is available in the Release Notes.
Use older versions of views, for example, AX Scheduler or AX Alarm Console.
After connecting the iSMA-D-PD panel and configuring the station, the message No HDMI service is displayed
If the iSMAHDMI service has not been added to the MAC36 controller, the iSMA-D-PD panel displays the following animation:

Wrong configuration of the Niagara station
One of the station configuration steps has been omitted or the whole configuration has not been conducted in compliance with the instruction.
Solution
Check every step of the station configuration according to the following settings:
WebService

Runtime Profiles

Handheld Hx Profile
inDefault Web Profile
slot setting for a dedicatedUser

(optional)
Auto Login
andAuto Login Credentials
setting in theiSMA_HDMI
service

Everything properly configured, yet still the panel displays only the iC logo
Despite the iSMA_HDMI-rt
is installed, the iSMAHDMI
is added to the station, and the iSMAHDMI
and WebService
are properly configured (according to the instruction), the error does not disappear.
Solution
Occasionally, after manual installation of JAR modules in platform
->Software Manager
, Niagara does not force the controller to restart. If, after installation of the iSMA_HDMI-rt
module, the controller will not be rebooted automatically, it is required to reboot it manually. After a reboot, the panel should display visualizations correctly. If not, check again the configuration of all iSMAHDMI
and WebService
elements against the instruction.
