FCU - Application - Wrong values of components after uploading the application backup to another controller

Issue

After backing up the application on the FCU controller and transferring it to another FCU controller, the NV point values on the second controller are different from those on the first controller.

Possible causes and solutions

Different values of points saved in the EEPROM memory of the controllers

The NV point values in the FCU controller application are retrieved from the non-volatile EEPROM memory. Each controller may have different values stored there, which is why the NV point values vary between controllers.

Solution

Synchronize the EEPROM memory on the controllers. To do this on the first controller (the one which the application is backed from), use the Copy Form NV to Default option (in Services → plat in iC Tool or w NV Actions in FCU Updater). Then, on the second controller (the one which the backup is uploaded to), upload backup and use the Copy From Default to NV option.

Outdated firmware

In outdated firmware versions, there is a known problem of writing the EEPROM memory.

Solution

Upgrade the firmware on the controller to the 2.4.0 version or higher.
