FAQ
Q: How to control the outputs O1, O2 and O3 in parallel?
To control the outputs O1, O2 and O3 in parallel, go to the "Property Sheet" view of the "LocalIOConfig" component and change the value of the "mode" slot from "FAN" to "NORMAL".
Q: How many devices can be powered simultaneously from the 24VAC output?
The maximum load of the 24V output and Triac outputs is 7VA.
Pmax = 7VA = Pto1 + Pto2 + Pacout, where:
PtoX - Triac output load,
Pacout - 24V output load.
Q: How to improve the accuracy of temperature measurement on SI inputs?
Connect the screen of the temperature sensor cable to "G0" and then to ground "PE" in iSMA-B-FCU.
Q: How many iSMA-B-FCU controllers can be connected on one RS485 bus as a slave?
According to the Modbus RS485 standard, assuming that 1 device = 1UL, 32 units can be connected. ISMA devices use only 1/4 UL, so it is possible to connect up to 128 on one bus.
Q: Is it possible to edit the application in iSMA-B-FCU? Is there only one application that can enable the modes described in the manual?
iSMA-B-FCU has a dedicated application for fan coil control, in which you can activate various modes. Their description is available in the manual. If the application does not meet the requirements set by the designer, it is possible to edit and even create an application from scratch on iSMA-B-FCU using iSMA Tool software.
Q: Is it possible to change the "Device Name" in iSMA-B-FCU, so that after using "discover" in BACnet they have names corresponding to, for example, room numbers?
Yes, in iSMA-B-FCU it is possible to change the "Device Name". This slot is available in the "SlaveNetwork" component.
Q: What is the maximum number of iSMA-B-LP panels that can be connected to one iSMA-B-FCU device?
In the Hardware Manual, you can find information that the Wmax for RJ12 in iSMA-B-FCU is 2.5W. Then read in the iSMA-B-LP manual what power the given version consumes:
iSMA-B-LP 0.5 W (24 V DC), 0.75 VA (24 VAC),
iSMA-B-LP-H 0.5 W (24 V DC), 0.75 VA (24 VAC),
iSMA-B-LP-C 0.7 W (24 V DC), 1 VA (24 V AC),
iSMA-B-LP-HC 0.7 W (24 V DC), 1 VA (24 V AC).
