I/O Modules - Communication - Problem with modules entering the bootloader mode
Issue
I/O modules cannot communicate, COMM and ON diodes blink alternately, and, when connected in the iSMA Configurator, the bootloader notice is displayed by the module's type on the devices' tree.

Module in the bootloader mode connected in the iSMA Configurator
Possible solutions
Check if all DIP switches are not set to the ON position.
Check if the 0x04FF value (dec 1279) or Modbus function 0x5A (dec 90) command is not being sent to the Modbus address 0 from the Write register 0. Such registers can be sent in special cases:
global operations (broadcast) to manu devices at once,
spacial operations requiring non-standard functions such as 0x5A,
change of the settings or state of the device, where the 0 register is responsible for key operational parameters and the 1279 value has a specific device-dependent meaning.
Follow the below steps:
close the iSMA Configurator (if it has been opened),
power off the device (also disconnect USB),
set all DIP switches (1-6) to the ON position and rotary switches to 0, as below:

d. power on the device with USB - COMM and ON diodes should start blinking alternately,
e. open the iSMA Configurator (the update process should start),
f. by the end of the update process, set any DIP switch to the OFF position, so the device leaves the bootloader mode; otherwise, the update process will be repeated in a loop.
