LP - Configuration - Limiting user's permissions
The iSMA-B-LP room panels provide numerous options to adjust surrounding conditions to enhance the user’s comfort. An integrator can decide, which parameters are available for third parties to edit, for example, in a hotel room. In the iSMA-B-LP room panel, editing access to various options can be configured twofold, which is outlined step by step in this article.
Method 1: Using iSMA Configurator.
1. Connect the iSMA-B-LP panel to the PC with mini USB - USB A cable, and start the iSMA Configurator software. Click the ‘Switch to Online’ button to connect to the iSMA-B-LP and gain access to configurable options. For instance, it is possible to block editing settings from a room panel. The below print screen of the iSMA Configurator shows enabling to edit a parameter from a room panel. The Editable option is included in the Setpoint, Fan, and Occupancy sections; changing its value to off blocks the editing by the user.

Method 2: Editing Modbus Registers
Configuration registers of the room panel are described in chapter 9 of the User Manual. For example, to edit access to the temperature setpoint, it is required to change the bit 1 value in the 41513 Modbus register:
