Understanding the compatibility of iSMA IO modules with temperature sensors such as PT100 and PT1000 is crucial for optimal system performance. It is important to note that while PT1000 sensors are compatible with the MIX and MINI range, PT100 sensors, which are more precise, require different device specifications.

For successful integration and operation of temperature sensors, follow these recommended practices:

1. Sensor Compatibility Check:

   • Always verify sensor compatibility with your device specifications before making any purchases. MIX and MINI range devices are confirmed to work with PT1000 sensors, which differ significantly from PT100 sensors in terms of sensitivity and precision.

   • It’s worth noting that for PT1000 sensors (for all our products), the resolution must always be set to 16-bit.
     

     

2. Device for PT100 Sensors:

   • For PT100 sensors, which are known for their precision, it is advisable to use a device specifically designed to handle their characteristics. For instance, the SfAR-S-6TI device is recommended for optimal performance with PT100 sensors.
