AAC20 - Logging in - Problem with time change and CPU 100% load

Issue

Occasionally, it is impossible to log in to the controller. It might be rooted in time change or CPU load of 100%.

Solution

Problem with time change on the AAC20 controller results from two factors:

  • discharged capacitor near the quartz which causes faulty responses with date to the CPU, looping the process causing the device to crash;

  • cold solders on the component (quartz) caused by environmental conditions, such as high humidity or too high/low temperature;

The first issue has been resolved in the latest 6.4 firmware. Updating the firmware solves the problem on the controller.

The second issue has been resolved in the 1.5 hardware version of the AAC20 controller, so if the problem occurs on an older hardware and the device is still under warranty, start an RMA case.
